Guiding Our Sustainable Commitment
Our sustainability strategy is founded on the key principles of REDUCE, REUSE, and RECYCLE, which guide our actions and support our commitment to sustainable development across all areas of our business.
REDUCING ENERGY
We are working to reduce our energy consumption and aim to develop products with a lower environmental impact. Environmental considerations are factored into our products from the early stages of development.
REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE
We are committed to reducing plastic packaging and recycling plastic waste generated during production. Additionally, we aim to replace as much material as possible with recycled paper, such as replacing all paper insert sheets with 100% recycled paper.
RECYCLING
We collect and sort production waste, using compactors for packaging materials. Permanent recycling terminals support our efforts, and we analyze each product's recycling potential.
Making more responsible choices
We prioritize alternative materials over traditional plastic and view sustainability as central to our commitment to both customers and the environment.
Our goal is to convert 80% of our assortment into alternative materials and replace all products with recyclable, recycled, bio-based, or biodegradable materials by 2026. While parts of our products will still include original plastic, we are focused on using recycled and alternative materials alongside traditional plastic.

Enveloppen gemaakt van gerecycled polypropyleen
Het materiaal van onze archiveringsproducten is veranderd van polypropyleen naar post-consumer gerecycled polypropyleen (min. 80%).
Re-Solution
100% gerecycled. De binnenkant van koelkasten en oude kleerhangers worden hergebruikt als grondstof voor deze duurzame productenlijn. Blauwe Engel gecertificeerd.
Biologisch afbreekbaar assortiment
Onze biologisch afbreekbare PLA-productlijn is afkomstig van maïs, aardappelen, suikerriet en suikerbieten.
Secolor-assortiment: het beste papier dat er is
Het populaire Secolor mappen assortiment is nu gemaakt van 100% gerecycled, FSC-, chloorvrij én blauwe Engel-gecertificeerd papier.
Tackling single use packaging
We have a strong legacy of innovative solutions and are continuously working to optimize product development and internal processes, with the goal of reducing packaging and eliminating single-use plastics by 2027.
Continuously improving our packaging
There are both economical and environmental reasons for making our packaging more sustainable:
- The lifespan of our packaging upon reception is extremely short: customers open and then throw away.
- A vast majority of purchases are made online, where packaging does not play a promotional role and only serves to protect products until they reach their destination.
- Less packaging means less waste, reducing consumption of finite natural resources, and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
- We are working toward reducing our carbon footprint and lowering the impact our packaging has on the environment.
- Sustainable packaging will improve, over time, the ability for our business to continue creating products and services longer.
What changes are we making?
In general, we aime to consider alternative materials for our packaging such as biodegradable or compostable materials, recycled or recyclable materials, or renewable resources.
- All cardboard packaging are being switched to 100% recycled Kraft.
- We have stopped the use of coloured ink: all inserts are now printed in black and white on 100% recycled paper.
- Wherever possible we have stopped the use of single use plastic materials (bags, fillings, etc.) and when not possible are striving to replace them with 100% recycled plastics. Our ultimate goal is 0 plastic packaging!
- All packaging includes recycling instructions for customers to ensure they end up in the right recycling bin.
- Some of our packaging are even made to be reusable as a product on their own.
